It helps balance acceptance and change with tangible tools to help change emotional distress through body chemistry, mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral emotion regulation tools, and assertive communication as well as values work.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a flexible evidence based treatment that helps you figure out what matters to you and build a life aligned with those values. The treatment involves using coping tools focused on mindset, changing your body chemistry, somatic coping, changing your relationship to your thoughts and external messages, effective acceptance, and committed change.

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an evidence based treatment that helps you change your relationship to emotions and thoughts. Mindfulness practices can help improve your mood, your self-worth, and your ability to navigate stressors. We work on identifying and challenging belief that negatively impact your life, as well as gathering information to identify accurate ways of thinking.

    This customizable treatment involves building mindfulness, using somatic coping skills, processing emotions, identifying and evaluating thoughts, undoing shame, and learning new information about emotions and thoughts.
